Fun Fact challenge: Week 1

Since I haven’t written in a few weeks I want to try and write every week for the next 10 weeks. Each week I will share a fun fact about myself. That way you can get to know me and in return I look forward to getting to know you.

Fun Fact 1: So a few months ago I took a personality test…originally it told me that my personality type was INTJ (Introversion, iNtuition, thinking, judging) but after a bit of research I soon realized that was mistyped. So I took it again. This time though I got INFJ (Introversion, iNtuition, Thinking, Feeling). After I got a different result I was curious as to why, so I decided to research common mistypes. It turns out that my personality type is the rarest of all the personality types and is often mistyped as INTJ because the types are very similar. Both are true introverts being that they recharge with time alone and don’t really like crowds. The difference is an INFJ while very reserved is better at “seeming extroverted”; they can be really personable. INTJs are more rational thinkers whereas INFJs are rational but tend to trust their gut just as much if not more than they trust reason. INFJs also tend to communicate better in writing and they are really good at reading people.

I am not going to bore you with a lot of psychology stuff so I’ll just say the things that made me agree with the my results coming back differently the second time.

  • I’m a writer. It’s literally how I gather my thoughts and I’m much better at articulating my point in writing than speaking.
  • I love people. But I’m not a fan of peopling (made up word). Small groups are fine usually but, big crowds drain me and I need days to fully recover, sometimes longer.
  • I can be very reserved and antisocial, I’m the type of person that will sit in a room with someone and unless they speak first we won’t ever meet. Lol but if I’m comfortable with you I can talk for hours. (You might get annoyed…sorry)
  • I have really good discernment, like really good. I can usually tell what a person is like within a few minutes of meeting them. And if a vibe is off I can tell right away even if I ignore it. I’m pretty sure this is one of my spiritual gifts too so it’s enhanced. (Thanks Abba)
  • Books. 😍
  • I have not ever met someone who thinks like me. I’m definitely the odd one in my family, always have been. I’m learning it’s ok.
  • I cannot count how many times I’ve found myself staring off into the unknown and someone thinks I’m staring at them or that I’m angry lol. I live in my head so much I have to consciously remind myself to focus on the present because I’m not yet in the future.
  • I’m a planner, kind of. I plan but I don’t mind leaving room for life if necessary. Winging it is not my thing, I at least need loose plans. However, crossing things off my to do list is one of the best feelings lol
  • Nelson Mandela was also an INFJ… He’s my spirit animal. I freaking ADORE him. I totally wish I could have met him and talked to him.

Have you ever taken a MTBI personality typing exam? If so what were your results?
