Happy Thanksgiving!

Instead of posting a fun fact about myself (I will resume them next week), this post will be about Thanksgiving.

For me, to he honest this holiday is mostly about spending time with my family. These days there are so many reasons to not celebrate certain holidays for certain reasons. Really good reasons. But if I’m honest, I don’t celebrate holidays for the traditional reasons. I celebrate the time with my family. The time my nieces and I spend making the Turkey every year and the baking experiment that I really love. Granted I also bake throughout the year when the spirit moves so there’s that, but I celebrate my family.

Thanksgiving to me is a time where I sit back and reflect on my year and how far I’ve come. 2019 has been quite the year. And there is still a month left. So, I love to take this time of year to thank God for all He has done. All He is doing and all He will do in my life and the lives of those I love. It’s always so amazing to look back over the year and see all the things that have occured, both good and bad, and how I’ve grown and changed. It sets the tone for the Christmas season where I celebrate the birth of my Savior. After all Jesus is the reason for the season.

Why do you celebrate if you do? And if not why don’t you? I’d love to know.
